FFC staffs are experts-dealing daily with permutations and variations and regularly updated product knowledge areas of al Travel components.

Can we amend, cancel or vary a Frequent Flyer booking once we have asked for a REQUEST to be processed?

Do not believe and consider most Airline frequent Flyer advice as correct as MOST changes or cancellations of Frequent Flyer seats are impossible to do once booked and issued.

Flight bookings are usually locked in and hard to vary but if dates, times, routes can be amended then each Airline has their own set loss of Points and Fees that they will levy against each traveler and/or the Frequent Flyer member to allow (if available) such an amendment to take place. Many QANTAS International flight bookings made in conjunction with their ONE WORLD partners cannot be amended in any way-even if you hold Platinum or Gold or Chairman’s Lounge status. (Remember we told you so!) – So please ask us to book only when you are sure. These are levied in addition to any Frequent Flyer Club fees. We suggest to be sure of your initial REQUEST as changes or cancellations sometimes carry heavy penalties with many time an on-availability of new dates, times, routes requested. Name changes are usually not allowed. Bookings made are usually instant and fees/conditions apply the very instant we confirm the required flights. Also note that a simple flight route, class or Airport change can impose different taxes/fees to each ticket. Frequent Flyer Club© staff will advise you accordingly and debit your Card as these Airline, Government or Airport fees/charges are noted to us. Frequent Flyer Club© fees are nonrefundable.

Hotel and Car rentals are more flexible for redemption bookings- but they do extract many points/miles from your Account. Changes to Hotels usually incur only a small fee and small loss of points/miles as do Car rentals.

There are instances where Cruise Lines allow you to use your frequent flyer points as well, usually US based Cruise liners.

Why does it take (up to) 10 days to get the results of my "Health Check"?

Because we prepare each one individually using our exclusive methodology. Your report will be written for you, and will be based on the answers you submit in the questionnaire. This takes time and much care! We look at the status of your Travel, your preferences and benchmark that against what is currently in the marketplace to allow you to extract the best benefits from Credit and Charge cards that you have, the schemes you are associated with and the overall future travel options that our expert staff would recommend you follow. As a MEMBER you get one free FFC Health Check per year. Some clients have saved many thousands$$  from our integral advice.

If I ask FFC to obtain a Frequent Flyer (say Flight) AVAILABILITY on a travel booking, will it cost me anything if Travel is unavailable?

NO. When you apply online (or via Phone) in the AVAILABILITY section-this is a free service to MEMBERS or casual travellers. There is no obligation. We check availability and advise you on the understanding that you must act quickly as Frequent Flyer bookings are hard to secure and our information to you is instant and real-time-so somebody else can secure what you have asked us to research.

When you are serious and wish to progress into a real booking, then you simply apply online or via Phone in the REQUEST section. This obligates you and we then need your actual Frequent Flyer number and PIN and Payment mode. We will only confirm a request if it fits the parameters that you give us.

Look at our GUARANTEE POLICY. We ask that you supply us with your Frequent Flyer details and PIN with Credit Card details that we will request (say) Qantas to debit for ticket taxes and Airport fees plus our service fee ONLY if details as requested by you are obtained and confirmed. We do not debit you for services not requested. There is no refund on Fees should a booking be made but rejected after finalization with Airline etc fees/loss of points also imposed.

This fair system allows us both to be honest in us providing a service and you paying for what you want. It also saves us much time and wasted effort in going back-and-forth to finally conclude that seats or rooms are lost due to the time delays.

How do I pay to become a MEMBER, ask you to REQUEST a travel booking or purchase online?

You are welcome to join as a MEMBER and obtain the many benefits or simply use our services as a once-off to REQUEST us to perform a travel booking redeeming your Frequent Flyer points/miles or purchase Travel Insurance, Car Rental, Hotels or other associated Travel product.

Because your security is important to us, you may use our online debit system via your CREDIT/CHARGE CARD or advise us of a forthcoming BPAY Style direct crediting of our Account or you may wish to download the DEBIT AUTHORITY form and fax/email/mail to us with a copy of Passport or Drivers License. These three ways make it easy to process your REQUEST for a frequent flyer travel booking and/or have you join as a MEMBER.

For Qantas air flights, Travel Insurance, Car rental, Hotel or other associated bookings you are actually “online” and each provider will request payment for services by you. Go to LINKS.

FOR MEMBERS ONLY: For QANTAS CLUB Membership at the discounted Corporate rate-you will need to simply complete the required QANTAS CLUB form to input your travel preferences then go to CREDIT/CHARGE CARD to allow us to debit your preferred Card or you may use our DEBIT AUTHORITY form.

Can I book a QANTAS flight or HOTEL or CAR RENTAL or TRAVEL INSURANCE without becoming a FFC MEMBER?

YES at no extra cost with no extra online booking fees attached. Go to LINKS and follow the prompts. The advantages are, you will be processing a booking via a secured licensed Travel Agency site with TCF (Travel Compensation Fund) licensing behind you, the accreditation of AFTA (Australian Federation of Travel Agents) plus your QANTAS Frequent Flyer, HOTEL Club Membership and any Car Rental Club Membership will be linked to your booking (as long as you input your number correctly). You can control it all by booking ONLLINE or have our FFC staff to do so if you wish. Becoming a MEMBER for $99 per year extends other benefits in addition to these.

Is my Membership to Frequent Flyer Club a benefit that I can claim in my Tax return against?

Your Accountant can advise you specifically here, but many of our valued clients (who should know!) claim full taxation benefit against the $99 Annual Fee in addition to QANTAS Club Membership costs etc. We issue the legal ATO approved Invoices to allow you to forward any claims. Check this at your end.

After Frequent Flyer Club© process a Flight booking, are there any other benefits to gain in requesting other Travel components?

YES. Absolutely important to understand that staff at FFC are all licensed Travel Agents and will source, book and issue tickets/vouchers on your behalf by utilizing the best ongoing Frequent flyer bonuses, specials, linked suppliers to gain you more points/miles and also extend to you discounted Corporate rates on Hotels, Car rentals, Cruises, Tours, Travel Insurance PLUS ensure that you can get extra mileage from using the appropriate linked Credit/Charge card and so on. The redemption Flight Bookings are only the start of utilizing the daily expertise and experience of FFC staff to deliver ongoing professional advice and support to your total Travel equation. Essentially we intend to use our product knowledge and efficiencies to get you the best Travel deals that are linked directly or in-directly to your Frequent flyer memberships held to allow you to build up your points/miles again and then remain as a FFC MEMBER or join as a new Member and the wheel turns again with you requesting our professional services as your points/accumulate again!

Are Frequent Flyer airline tickets always the best value for money bookings?

NO. Sometimes there are reduced air flight costs that are more advantageous (especially short haul to Asia/Pacific/Domestically) as they have fewer conditions, do cost some money but allow more flexibility. Additionally there may be instances where you should use points/miles in the future for that “big” trip away on Business or Pleasure and not erode the points for smaller bookings. This also applies to Hotel or Car rental redemption bookings.

How many flight permutations are there domestically or from Australia to (say) Europe ?

DOMESTICALLY inside Australia , over 120 variations can be booked between most capital cities daily, with extra Airport fees levied (e.g. Costs more to fly via Sydney than via Melbourne ). Get FFC staff to do it all for you and debit the correct taxes/fees against your Card with ability to verify what is booked is what you requested and offer you any additional Travel services at reduced rates, Frequent flyer rates or linked with associated frequent flyer Hotel, Car, Cruise or Tour companies. FFC staff expertise saves you time, hassles, headaches whilst utilizing expertise and experience that lets you get on with earning more points!

INTERNATIONALLY: Over 137. That is correct. For all of those travelers who THINK that they can book their own flights successfully over the phone or the Net and get the best value-that may not be so. With the utmost respect, Airline staff are outsourced usually to Telemarketers or staff on a very limited and highly supervised time-motion basis per call made and/or limited years experience in devising and knowing the various permutations from Point A to Point B. FFC staff are trained travel agency experts who deal daily with flights, have direct access to our own non-public Airline Computer Reservations System plus the public Internet plus our own Intranet with all Flight availabilities , detailed travel schedules and can advise exactly what best route, carrier, flight, day, time Global Indicator(s), alliance partners to take.

Example: Fly Ex Australia via Africa, USA, South America, North Pacific, South Pacific, North Asia, South Asia, India, Middle East on a code-share flight, on a non-blackout day/week, via a yield managed restricted red-coded no-go flight sequence ex Sydney or shall we try this again via Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth with or without a force transit or stopover ? After we get you there- we do the same again to get you back home??

Even our FFC experts get caught up with the technicalities of it all but we always focus on delivering to you a simple explanation of best available flights, rooms, car rental to suit what you can best do. Have you not noticed how the majority of Travel Agents and travelers keep their distance from such bookings? We don’t.

Are all Airline, Hotel and Car Rental Frequent Flyer Memberships the same?

NO. Some suit the leisure traveller better, some the business traveller better. Some are best suited to Metro/City travellers and some the regional traveller in Australia and New Zealand . Some Airlines have great relationships with Alliance partners and less restriction-whilst some are a waste of money and time.

FFC staff will advise MEMBERS via Newsletter and other communications about these areas. JOIN HERE.

Who lets me know when my points expire and when to use them?

FFC staffs can but not your Bank, not your Credit Union, not the Airlines and not the Hotel and Car rental companies! That is the clear message being received by travelers today. Most Statements received are either not read by you properly or are not clearly evident as t your status or you do not receive any updates anyway! FFC MEMBERS can easily get this information by allowing FFC staff to do that research for you. It would not be unfair to say that many suppliers might actually prefer that you do not now when expirations will take place to allow them to not extend the accumulated points/miles that you may be eligible for? FFC staff can advise you of such expirations if you ask us to do so and also remind you again before expiration. A free service for our MEMBERS. Some schemes (say AMEX and DINERS) have lifetime points that do not expire until to transfer the out.

How early should I REQUEST a Frequent Flyer flight booking with FFC online?

We suggest for DOMESTIC (Australian) flights at least 10 days prior with longer times if traveling in School Holidays or Public Holiday times. Do not forget that many capital cities have Special events and Conferences that also impact on seat and Hotel availability. It is sometimes what you are not aware of that can ruin lack of forward planning. For a small  Domestic Air ticket FFC booking Fee plus appropriate ticket taxes/fees you can get FFC staff to do it all via one email REQUEST or one phone call. Priority Phone Number: 1300 738 073

We suggest for INTERNATIONAL flights to book as far in advance as you can, up to 350 days. Seats are scarce during Peak periods that apply from Australia but also Peak periods apply from overseas to Australia at different times. Additionally if we must book seats on an Alliance partner then seats are dramatically harder to secure with extra points/miles also required to redeem in most circumstances. We suggest allowing FFC staff to lock in the best flights and dates to secure the travel dates, thereafter allow FFC staff to secure any Tours , Cruises, Hotels, Car rental, Travel Insurance etc that best suits your noted Frequent Flyer status.

Should I always book a Flight with an Airline or book a Hotel or Car because I am an associated Frequent Flyer member just to gain maximum Frequent Flyer points/miles?

NO. This is a big trick that can make you lose much money and also inconvenience you as the flights or routes may not suit you best or Hotel is wrong location or has inadequate facilities or car rental has limited vehicles or depots etc.

The experts at FFC will advise you of what best suits your overall travel package with no bias towards and Club or schemes. It is basically not worth being conned into using a Supplier against another is we can source and confirm a better overall deal for you from another similar option. This expert advice is given after a commitment or booking is made with FFC staff. Sometimes it is a better option to fly on a particular Airline, stay in a corporate reduced-rate hotel booked by FFC staff and drive a corporate discounted rental car. You may not get the Frequent Flyer points but the monetary savings may surprise you- or FFC may suggest you join another Scheme to gain future benefits! Again- FFC staff and the Frequent Flyer Club© services work for you- not the suppliers.

We have many examples where we were able to issue a Frequent Flyer Air ticket to a city, then extend a non-frequent flyer associated corporate Hotel or package Tour rate, use this MEMBERS discounted FFC Travel Insurance policy (not the Policy advertised by that Airline) and book a Cruise via a referred site (see LINKS) to save hundreds of $$. The ability not to secure Frequent Flyer points was negated by saving $$ on adding components that made the entire Travel deal a value-for-money experience. It is the overall equation that counts-not an individual component.

Our annual subscription fee is only $99 which is easily saved with one Benefit being adopted by self or family. Immediate savings can be made .

Are most Frequent Flyer Schemes worth joining?

YES in most circumstances if they are joined and monitored and controlled properly. Do not join just to get a plastic card or boast Membership. FFC staff use their expertise to advise on what best Scheme to join and link with a Credit/Charge card and then obtain the best available travel deals to allow you to secure the best free or reduced rate Travel from those deals.

Can I book my own Flights online via Airline websites and guarantee the best flights and routes ?

NO. Definitely not on the International routes as Airlines usually have zero or “restricted” access to other Airline inventory for such seats and they will guard their own turf. FFC have access to all Airline reservations systems (there are over 298 worldwide!) and we research the best deals on each carrier and merge them to match what you want. IN fact some Alliance Airline partners will advise you that “there are no seats on Frequent Flyer on Airline XYZ on that day” but that is only because that Airline site that you have logged into has been given very limited or no seats that they can sell on their (supposed) friendly Airline partner Alliance flight. We, at FFC, are privy to specific Airline reservation codes  and CUG (Closed User Group) secured Airline Computer Reservation Systems (Sabre-Amadeus-Galileo etc) and can usually secure seats that are told to you as being “unavailable” .

Our 30years+  of travel expertise, product knowledge and experience sets us apart from solo Airline websites.

We work on behalf of our clients- not on behalf of the Airlines.
